Since 2017, I have worked for the Josephy Center for Arts & Culture as their exhibit book designer, brochure designer, and occasional photographer. Exhibit books: Each book requires me to work closely with both the exhibit curator and artist, which requires large amounts of communication. Once I get to know the exhibit artist and curator well, I design a layout that best suites their vision. Book designs require attention to order, consistent alignment, and effective content selection. Photography: At times, I will get asked to photograph exhibit pieces or document exhibit events that will go into the book. This requires capturing moments in their best light, since they will be in our books.
